With this edition, the Marianne Heller Gallery and Noar Dylon Fine Art are expanding their established ONE & ONE exhibition format to include international Fine-Art-Photography for the first time.
The focus is not on contrasting two forms of artistic expression, but on their relationship to one another. The photographic image is created from light; the ceramic object from matter. One captures a moment; the other bears the traces of time. One demands the viewer’s gaze; the other requires physical presence. It is precisely through their differences that both open up a shared form of perception.
Photography and ceramics do not function here as either illustrations or contrasts. They come together as independent languages that clarify, question and expand upon one another. A space emerges between image and object in which seeing and touching, observation and presence, the moment and duration enter into a relationship.
From 13 September to 15 November 2026, ONE & ONE will bring together a carefully curated selection of Japanese works (e.g. Ken Mihara, Yasutaka Baba, Isezaki Jun) and other international ceramic pieces (e.g. Ken Eastman, England) to showcase leading figures in international Fine-Art-Photography:
Gerd Ludwig from USA and Moritz Koch from Germany.
The exhibition is intended as an invitation to take time to look and as a space for the quiet power of two art forms which, through their dialogue, transform our view of the world.
