THE KOBALT SERIES is a group of some 36 one-off objects produced in early 2017 and 2019.
It is the result of having spent many years experimenting with colour oxides, glazing and firing techniques. The combination of Blue and White on ceramics has a long fascinating history. In a way it represents a journey across Western and Eastern cultures. THE KOBALT SERIES consist partially of porcelain, partially of stoneware, each gaining different qualities from the clays they are sourced from. Wasinburee Supanichvoraparch: I am always most fascinated by the result of combining these components: the artist, the clay, the fire and the air. To share this sensation with a wider audience is the greatest delight and reward for me.
